In our office, we take pride in the fact that very few of our patients require extractions. Unlike the past when people did not have viable alternatives, we can now offer choices that will save teeth.

We can help prevent the loss of teeth and all the problems associated with that loss. Decayed, cracked or damaged teeth are no longer automatically doomed. We can place crowns, which protect and strengthen weakened teeth. Crowns, which "cap" a weakened tooth, can be fabricated out of various materials that are chosen for the specific situation. They can be made of gold, porcelain or synthetic materials and are custom-made for the individual. It will take several visits to construct the crown due to the need for a very accurate fit. Between visits, the patient will have a temporary crown placed. Once the crown is seated and cemented, it is important for the patient to maintain a high level of hygiene and routine care. With the joint cooperation of the patient and the dentist, one can expect a crown to last for a significant length of time.
